Joanna Goodrich

Joanna joined the Point of Care Foundation (PoCF) at its inception in 2007, and was responsible for the development of the PoCF's experience-based co-design programmes. She piloted and developed the Schwartz Rounds programme, an initiative that provides a regular reflective forum for staff from all backgrounds in healthcare organisations to meet together. She was PoCF's Head of Evidence and Learning until 2018, and then completed her PhD in patient-centred improvement methods. Joanna has written, researched, and presented widely on co-design methods, and has delivered co-design training for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (USA), the Change Foundation (Canada), and St Paul's Hospital Medical School in Ethiopia. Currently, she is a visiting research associate at the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy and Rehabilitation, King's College London. Joanna is interested in using patient experience data to improve health care.
