Dr. Luke Siena is an award-winning designer, research fellow and hourly paid lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and current member of the Medical Engineering Design Research Group. He received his BSc (Hons) in Computer Aided Product Design, MSc in Smart Design and PGDip in Professional Research Practice at Nottingham Trent University and recently completed his PhD on implementing smart materials and technologies for medical emergency airway access devices. Luke’s research interests include investigative research relating to the use of smart materials and technologies for medical applications, medical product and device design, 3D printing, emerging technologies and materials and the accurate assessment and measurement of health outcomes.
